Love sweets? Who doesn’t! But all that sugar and flour is an absolute waist killer. Even still, I must have my sweets and I’ve found a healthier, gluten-free brownie that I’m dying to share. My favorite is this savory, Chocolate-Protein Black Bean Brownies. May sound gross, but they actually taste pretty good.
Serving size: Makes 12
1 15oz can black beans
1/4 cup Truvia
2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
2/3 cup almond milk (or flax milk, regular milk, or water)
1tsp baking powder
1tsp coconut oil
(Chocolate, caramel, white chocolate) chips if desired
Put all ingredients in food processor, blender (or by hand if you can mash the beans)
Pour into brownie pan (sprayed with non stick), or pan
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes
Let cool, but not too much, good hot like any other brownie.
